Quilting Journey 4 Healing

Today ends part one of my quilting journey for healing in Spillimacheen, BC. Tomorrow I travel to another valley to Okanagan the ancestral land of the Syilx People. It’s MOVE-IN DAY at UBC. I’m excited and humbled to be a participant in the 2022 Indigenous Intensive Art Residency. Our theme is SITE/ation meaning connecting to place through indigenous territoriality, being grounded in land, voice, and language, and reconnecting to/nurturing traditions and beyond. Creative sessions will be videotaped and shared on YouTube.
